Our weekly clay classes are designed for individuals who want to immerse themselves in the craft of ceramics. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to expand their skills, these classes allow you to build, sculpt, and create unique ceramic pieces at your own pace. You can book a single class to try it out, or reserve multiple sessions at a discounted rate for a more in-depth experience.

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the weekly sessions, we’ll cover a range of fundamental techniques, including:

• Handbuilding (slab, coil, and pinch methods)

• Decorating with underglaze and texture tools

• Finishing and preparing pieces for firing

Whether you're interested in functional items or sculptural pieces, you'll gain the skills to bring your creative ideas to life. Each class is designed to build on the previous week’s session, allowing you to progress and refine your technique over time.

What to Expect

Classes take place at our cosy studio in Galway, where you'll have access to clay, tools, and all the supplies needed to get started. Each week, you’ll work on a new project, exploring different techniques and forms. You’re welcome to bring your own project ideas, or if you prefer, we can suggest creative concepts to inspire you. Handbuilding is an ideal method for creating pottery without a wheel, and we'll be here to guide you through each step, from shaping your piece to finishing touches.
